Oaxaca is a world within itself , a magical place  with its rugged topography  several  ecosystems  and regions with pine-oak forest , subtropical scrub , tropical deciduous forests and coastal along with its position close to a narrow “pinch-point” on the North American continent and located also in the Isthmus which is the narrowest stretch of land that separates the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean The unique combination of ecosystems means the region host  around 700 Bird’ species with numerous endemics to enjoy. Because of its diversity, Oaxaca is an excellent spot for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers to see a variety of species. Culturally Oaxaca has 3 UNESCO sites , is one of Mexico's most ethnically diverse states, with a large population of indigenous peoples who have preserved their languages, customs, and traditions. The Zapotec and Mixtec are among the most prominent groups, but there are 16 officially recognized indigenous groups in total that enable us to also enjoy prehispanic ruins, arts & Crafts, delicious food perhaps some festival or traditions and of course the local drinks  atole and Mezcal . all these will be as frame for our 10 days Birding Journey
